Owners'
Open Day - 3 September 2006.
Over 100
people attended our fourth annual owners day and thankfully the sun
shone on us all. With high winds and heavy rain the day before we woke
up to more of the same. However, the Met Office promised bright skies
and for once they were right. The wind remained brisk, which made for
a lively parade of horses! To be fair they all behaved extremely well
considering they had the wind up their tails and they had to pass a
flapping marquee. The babies coped particularly well and amazingly one
of the best behaved was Task Complete, who arrived in
the yard with a reputation for being ‘a total nutter’. The
pig roast went down particularly well and every last bit was cleared
up. The winner of the guess the weight of Mountain Approach
competition was Ginny Daker, who got it spot on at 529kg.
