Owners' Open Day - 11 September 2005.

We held our annual owners day on Sunday 11 September. Despite the forecast perfect weather conditions it was a damp miserable day, which affected the turnout. Even so, around 70 owners braved the elements to watch the horses parade, followed by a spit-roasted lamb for lunch.

 

The horses were immaculately behaved, apart from 14 year old Clifton Set, who pranced around like a 2 year old despite having attended more open days than the rest of the horses put together!

 

 

We were amazed to see Meena McPhee, wife of Stuart who owns Kal, was extremely pregnant with their first child. We see Stuart regularly and he had made no mention of it whatsoever. He was obviously trying to save Alison the trouble of having to create a new website devoted to owners, friends and staff who are having babies.

 

The competition to guess the weight of the horse was won by Lady Eliza Mays-Smith, Angie Roper and Terry Domain in a 3 way split. The answer was 489kgs.
