Our owners
genuinely feel a part of our small friendly team and enjoy some great
days out. We try to offer something to suit all budgets and always have
full or part shares available in horses already in the yard. JR can
also acquire horses on request from a network of contacts in the UK
and France, as well as from the sales and from selling and claiming
races. All horses are purchased commission free if they are to stay
in the yard. We can even arrange for you to claim back your VAT - see bottom of the page for details.
Training
Fees
Full training fees are £252 + VAT per week. That includes shoeing,
routine veterinary treatments, and all the usual things that many trainers
add on top, such as trainer’s racing expenses etc. It does not
include gallop fees (currently £75 + VAT per month), vets bills
and racing expenses such as jockey fees and transport to the racecourse.
Syndicates
We usually charge an all inclusive fee for 20th/10th shares of £80/£160
+ VAT per month. This means that you know exactly how much it will cost
you – there are no hidden extras, and of course, you will get
your full share of any prize money won. We try to suit every budget
so feel free to have a chat about your requirements.
Reclaiming
your VAT
Currently you can claim back the VAT paid on your training fees,
horse purchases, etc, provided your horse is sponsored. As the yard
is sponsored by Doncaster Bloodstock Sales all our owners qualify for this scheme.
As an extra service to our owners we can make all the necessary arrangements
for you to reclaim your VAT. On full training fees, this would save
you at least £200 per month. If you want to discuss reclaiming
your VAT Alison Auvray will be pleased to advise you.
